In a recent post I got some good answers on how to reset my
odometer. How in the world do you get the speedo apart? I took
the lense off, undid the two very flat nuts in the back, undid
the screw in the back and even the two screws holding the gauge
face on. I still cannot get the guts of the speedo out of the
housing. I tapped it from behind but all that did was loosen
all the idiot light lenses which promply fell all over the
garage floor. HHHEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLPP. I may just take the
BIG hammer to it and beat the crap out of it just to make me
feel better. If it makes a difference, this is the 140mph deep
set speedo.

Carl,

If the speedo proves too crafty for you, I have one here that
reads 22635 miles. Also deep set, 140 mph w/o km indication.
It's yours if you want it

Erwin

Dunno nuthin 'bout no Spider speedo, but on
some....ahem...british speedos, you have to pull the needle off
to get them apart.
