I've been noticing recently, that if I do things too fast,
clicking between threads and topics, I'll often get my
preferencs in one box for no reason. Anyone else ever get this?

This happened to me, but only while I was doing the catch-up
thing in another browser window.

I was too impatient to wait for the catch up tool, so I spent a
couple of hours clicking each thread as read, and several times
I got the preferrences screen in the thread pane.

ALso this morning at one point I got the top pane on the main
forum page (where the links to subscriptions, preferences etc.
are) in the upper left pane of the message area (where topics,
show all etc should be).

I would guess that it has to do with the timing on the I/O
controller... that seems to be the weak link, certainly not
something that is impacting my enjoyment of the firum however.

I know those fiber raid controllers are spendy so my opinionis
that I can live with the I/O situation and enjoy the forum as is.
