Apocalypto
(Marc Sova)

Pretty good movie....good as any smash 'em up chase scene in the city! Quite a
lot of gore though.....not for the squeamish or queasy.
Hard to believe that Mel Gibson could make this somewhat "genocidal" film
while harboring anti-semitic feelings. Well...unless it is possible to have
anti-semitic feelings and NOT necessarily desire the elimination of the jewish
race?...perhaps his views are more that of a "separatist"?
Mind you, I'm not trying to defend or justify his statements...Obviously,
those words came out of his mouth, so there is something there as far as
negative feelings towards jews.....But I think many folks will have the same
thought cross their mind once they've seen this film.

I have not yet seen the film, an article in the Washington Post indicated it
was historically grossly innacurate. Ah, what happened to the old Mel
Gibson. Fortunately I don't give famous celebs any more credence from their
public stupid comments than I do anyone else.
