Out of the 1800 or so '76-'77 Scorpions, how many still exist or
are accounted for? I know there is the Scorpion registry, but
it doesn't seem very up-to-date (at least I didn't notice
Lofland's car listed).

What types of parts are unobtainable at any price and need to be
fabricated, or other hardships that owners have to go through?

Just curious, not looking to get one. Thanks.

Don't you guys remember who to come to when it comes to Lancia
info???

I hashed this out with the assistance of Fiat North America way
back in the 1980's...

USA Scorpion production:
1976: 1368
1977: 438

And yes, #1806 was the last Scorpion produced and it was indeed
delivered as a white car with blue interior.

Rest of world production, all years: 5794
At first I was guessing the rest of world was about 5500 cars,
but with Fiat's assistance I was able to narrow it down thru use
of vehicle production numbers that they provided.

At one point back in the 1980's when Caribou was really
concentrating on sales of Scorpion parts I had about 1100 cars
on my active mailing list. My best guess today would be that
maybe as many as 500 remain, but if you want to count rusted
hulks just waiting to be discarded then maybe you will get a
total of 700. The survival rate in England/Europe is much
greater as the cars are held in much higher esteem there than
they are here.
