Yeah, Denver PA is about 30 minutes from me but still in Lancaster county.

Thanks for the lead, DDV. Denver's about 45 minutes from here...not too bad a
drive straight out 222. Unfortunately there's too much going on right now for
me to get down there to check it out and possibly save some parts from it. The
fact that the "seller" is appealing to the scrap guys is not encouraging.
I emailed regardless.

when I mailed him (thinking the car was in the 'real' Denver here), he thought
I was trying to scam him...yeah right, for one whoppin' buck.
a typical non-running Spider 1800 will bring $1500-2500 in parts, and that
includes giving parts away to friends and breaking even on s&h. Still, not
worth the time to go 2100 miles each way to retrieve.

I think you'll find that the seller will want more than $1 for it. Many people
post on craigslist and use that to grab attention.

John, Thad's right. Seller is up to $150 already, and the car has no title.
Sounds to me like more than a scrapper would pay for just the metal value.

I have yet to figure out why the users of Craigslist put "$1" in the title. I
guess they like getting lots of stupid emails saying "Wow, I want your 2007
Chevy Silverado for $1".
It infects all of Craigslist in all cities for some reason. (yea, I'm not a
big fan of Craigslist. I keep using it hoping it will grow on me based on
everyones raves but it still reeks of utopian naivety to me)

i think you can search by maximum price so maybe they're trying to come up in
all the search results?

Flag the ad under "prohibited" (top right corner of page). Then flag it again.
The CL TOS clearly states this is a no-no (title price must match ad price).
