The Birmingham British Motoring Club, the Ferrari Club of America, the Alabama
Region Porsche Club of America, and the Mercedes-Benz Club of America invite you
to attend the 13th Annual Sports Cars in the Park. This year’s event will be
held in the Old Town section of Helena, Alabama (just south of Birmingham).

This one is coming up fast and I bet there is a current shortage of Italian
metal scheduled to appear.

How about some of you southeast guys bringing out your classy Italians and
adding some style to the show!

Hope to see here!

I've become my old pet peeve, a grumpy old man driving a sports car!

It's raining today in Birmingham, Alabama and we REALLY needed it!

But, Saturday's weather is forecast to be mostly sunny with a high in the upper
70s ... perfect for a Car Show.

Hope to see a good crowd, and I'm pretty sure that there is still time to
register a car to be exhibited in the show.

"Sports Cars in the Park" is the all-European Sports Car event in the
Birmingham, Alabama area. They had a great turn-out this year with an army of
MGs, 10 or so TR6s, Spitfires, GT6s, Austin Healeys, an impressive bunch of
Porsches, 3 Alfas (2 Spiders and a late model coupe), at least one Lamborghini,
and some F cars ... Ferraris ... but, in my quick review of the exhibitors since
I was hurried along by wife and child ... NOT A SINGLE FIAT, much less an X!

But, NEXT YEAR ... surely some area Fiat folks could field a couple of entries
for the show next year.

Anyway, something to consider for anyone in the Southeast.

BTW, the lone TR7 (convertible) entry had a sign on it that said "DRIVEN THE 300
MILES TO THE SHOW, NOT TRAILERED"! Way to go! (And I'm recalling the mileage was
700-something, 764? - wow!)

Of course, as usual, I jumped in the car and left my digital camera behind ...
so I'll post my pics after I get the disposable camera processed.

Here's another guy's pics:
